Tampa International Airport Signage
The Tampa International airport opened in 1971 with a wayfinding and signage system designed by Jane Doggett. The red and blue signs posted on the ramps into the airport help passengers find their terminals, and the large letter icon inside help them find their gates. Doggett designed the wayfinding systems for 40 airports during her career. Main highlights from her designs include the use of color contrasts, large scale typography, and large airline logos to assist people in finding their flights, luggage, and rides.
