Horizonte (July 1926 Issue)
Horizonte magazine was published in Mexico between 1926 and 1927 and served as striking visual manifestos. Estridentismo or Stridentism was the name given to this movement that began after 1921. Post-Mexican Revolutionary period, these covers embodied the Mexican avant-garde with artwork and writings related to political and social issues. This cover uses bold geometric typography with an illustration of an abstract depiction of a house and trees. The color palette consists of green, brown, blue, and white. The LM signature belonged to Leopoldo Méndez who was a famous Mexican printmaker.
