Graphic design is used for various purposes, two major ones being advertising and campaigns. One category of these are the ones put out by corporations to promote their sustainability practices. They often use the visual language of environmentalism and nature to make themselves seem legitimate. This ad shows a picture of the outside and nature. The placement of their garment in this context creates an association with the environment. It also includes text that mentions “working together,” which puts weight on the consumer. Although good decisions on our end are important, it is ultimately up to the company to make better decisions, as that will have a bigger impact.
