NCR (New California Republic) Flag (Fallout 2)

The flag design is a clear indication of how the political spectrum of a collapsed U.S still thrives even after its death. For this flag, the faction that it represents imitates the facade of freedom through the eyes of imperialism, which this faction simulates. 

The said flag is a clear edited version of the State of California flag. Quite obvious that this flag has two key differences from the original one that make it really different and perhaps change the symbol. While initially it was one grizzly bear with a small red star on the left, the edited Icon makes them look much bigger and intimidating. There’s a clear chemistry and usage of bright colors contrasted with the white background, it’s a subtle, minimalistic way to showcase both post-apocalyptic elements in your flag without also destroying the context, which is that it’s a clear edited flag of the State of California.
