Hoover Dam (Fallout New Vegas) poster

5

Poster has two versions, one clean and one destroyed, both depicting a narrative of war. This art style featured in there is characteristic of national park illustrations, usually advertising tourism in that area, which means that this art style is using and distorting several aspects of American society to fit their narrative of a post-apocalyptic North America.

This poster is an original piece that includes a real-life location, which is famous and characteristic of the state of Nevada, where the game takes place. This art style is trying to emulate reality but also has elements of cartoonish stylization. The second version of the poster is one more vandalized, with the paint on the wall or the paper peeling off, as if a long time has passed, signifying that the illustration on the bottom left is the original piece. The artists for this have a clear understanding of how to emulate a lot of these detailed art styles.
