There’s a lot of disasters that happens around the global, affecting millions of people’s daily lives and changing the world. In response, using design works comes with communication to reflect these disasters during the time it happens, whether to spread awareness, provide information or fight back these disasters. In “Grow Your Own Food” by Abram Games, there’s a smart use of a pitch fork and shovel that’s standing on a garden, transforming into a fork and knife standing on a table with food. The context behind the poster is about a food crisis in Britain during WWII, telling their citizens to take action to grow their own food during wartimes. Despite this poster being made for an issue they had during WWII, it can still remain relevant to this day, with having your food eaten locally and served to be fresh. It can promote eating responsible and making your own food at home.
