TIME is a global brand in existence over 100 years since 1923  with an audience of millions of people worldwide with a mission to provide trusted guidance about the ideas and people who shape and improve the world. The cover of TIME is coveted as the most important real estate in journalism with the world's best photographers and artists as its architects. 

This particular TIME cover is from the November 12, 2007 Edition featuring the Iphone to present the best innovations of 2007. The Apple Iphone was first launched in June 2007.  The cover was created by Arthur Hochstein who was the art director of TIME from 1994 to 2009. 

This is a clever design that uses the iphone as the main image showcasing it as the invention of the year and it's screen to  present the topic, “Best Inventions of 2007”, that the editorial is featuring.
