This is a poster promoting Shiseido資生堂’s classic skincare product, Eudermine. At the top of the design is an illustration of Shiseido’s store in Tokyo’s Ginza district. Below it are portraits of 11 important people in the company’s history, starting from its founding in 1872. In the center, a scantily dressed woman holding a bottle of Eudermine combines the look of traditional ukiyo-e art with modern commercial style. The ad’s text runs through red and white areas in the background, while the word “Eudermine” playfully rolls out of the mouths of three women, making the product more eye-catching and memorable.
