Information about this piece:This design is the key concept of Matsunaga's new visually-driven brand "ISSIMBOW", expressed in colorful and powerful primary colors and straight lines. The brand name is named after the oldest medical encyclopedia in Japan, "医心方 [Ishinpo]".
Biographic information about this designer:Born in Tokyo in 1940. Graduated from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1964. After working in the advertising department at Shiseido, he established his own office in 1971. His main works include a summer campaign for a cosmetics company, packaging designs for products of major corporations, and the best-selling book design for the Constitution of Japan. He is also involved in a wide range of creative activities, including drawings, sculptures, and monuments. Many of his works are permanently preserved in 90 art museums around the world.
