Postal stamp with green  color and Japanese maple (紅葉）leaves in background and Pied Kingfisher (bird) in foreground. The stamp was part of Japans Flora and Fauna Definitive Series from 1992-1994. This went for 80 yen ($0.14) now with a value of about 38 yen ($0.25).

The Flora and Fauna Definitive Series (1992-1994) was released over a three-year period with various values of the stamp to correspond with the postage rates for mail. There was a total of 26 stamps in this series and ranging from 9 yen ($0.06)to 1000 yen ($6.60).
