During the early stages of the Second Sino-Japanese War, there was public excitement which was the result from military victories. Though as conflict continued there was a shift in attention from the victories to the everyday lives of the soldiers. With this interest in the soldiers lives, there were songs such as the Field Encampment Song that came to be produced and published.
