This magazine comes after the Manchurian incident, where there was the establishment of the puppet state of Manchukuo (1932). During this time there were slogans such as Gozoku kyowa (Five Races Under One Union) becoming known to the people. Along with the slogans, there were circulations of visual images that promoted modernization and industrialization.
