Numero Uno 2013 Fall & Winter Season Book

9

This graphic belongs to the 2013-14 Fall/Winter collection of  Numero Uno          (ヌメロ ウーノ), a Japanese menswear brand founded in 2003 by designer and stylist, Hiroshi Ozawa. The seasional theme was “TRANSLATION”.  In Ozawa's words, his idea was to translate existing clothes and reinterpreting styles people already know rather than starting something new.

This work was visually designed by Sayumi Kishi, a Japanese graphic designer, who has worked with studios like W+K Tokyo before going independent in 2015. The typography has a clean, modern look that keeps the focus on the clothing, while the layout adds just enough structure to reflect the collection’s theme.

The small paragraph on the right reads: Numero Uno is a menswear brand founded in 2003 by Hiroshi Ozawa. This year's collection theme is “TRANSLATION”. American traditional style is converted and modified to fit Tokyo style. This fresh yet versatile collection aims to fit any nationality and culture.
