This is the cover of the first issue of Heaven, a subculture magazine whose predecessor magazine was Jam, a visual New Wave monthly magazine, this magazine only distributed through vending machines. The first issue of Heaven was designed by contemporary Japanese graphic designer 羽良多平吉(Harata Heikichi). The front and back covers respectively featured a woman’s portrait and a full-body image, they are in yellow and blue tones set which dialogue with each other. The title used striking pink and orange, while the top-right corner shows the magazine’s slogan in vertical direction Mincho type: “空中楼閣的天眼通” (means insight into a fabricate place).
