This is the cover of the BL manga What Did You Eat Yesterday? by Japanese female manga artist よしながふみ(Fumi Yoshinaga), it first published in 2007. The story is around the everyday lives of a middle-aged gay couple in Japan.

In terms of typography, the title combines Japanese hiragana and kanji, it is arranged vertically. The font is in block-like style lettering, giving it a distinct yet everyday feel. Meanwhile, the book cover features a pale yellow background resembling Japanese stationery paper, upon the paper are written the names of traditional Japanese dishes. One example is “イワシの梅煮” (Sardines Simmered with Japanese Dried Plums). These dish names serve not only as part of the  contents of the manga but also resonate with the manga’s central themes of daily life and food.
