This is a travel brochure from the Japanese colonial period promoting trips to Northern China and Mongolia. The vertical text on the left reads: “北支・蒙疆与名胜”  translated as  Northern China, Mongolia and Famous Places. “北支” refers to the Japanese colonial term for Northern China, while “蒙疆”refers to Mengjiang, a puppet state established by Japan in Inner Mongolia in 1939. After Japan colonized northern China, the government encouraged Japanese people to immigrant to the region, engage in business or travel. This brochure is part from the cooperation between Government, South Manchuria Railway(南満洲鉄道) and private enterprises. They published a large number of brochures, posters, and travel guides to promote the travel industries.

The title is written in white font on a green background. On the right is an illustrated map depicting famous scenic sites and landscapes within Northern China. Including Buddha Statue, Train lines and the Yellow River, which is one of the most important river in China.
