This issue features a special artwork featuring The Beach Boys and a special mention of the Petsounds designed by James Jarvis. James Jarvis, a British illustrator and toy designer, is a pioneer of the soft vinyl designer toy revolution. He began his career as a designer for the fashion company Silas and later created characters at his own company, Amos Toys. Each character in Amos Toys had its own personality and background world. Jarvis’s artwork graces the cover of the magazine Relax, a unique blend of global street culture illustration and Japanese youth media. Relax frequently featured Western designers, musicians, and artists, introducing Japanese audiences to diverse global subcultures.
