Tokyo Designers Space - Kazumasa Nagai Poster Exhibition

3

This artwork is very abstract in its design and contains a creature like many other posters Kazumasa created. A red elephant with its ears propped up and a leg stretched out above it as if coming out of its forehead is placed in the middle of the poster with five wings coming out of different sides (both above and below the elephant). The wings take up most of the space in the poster, spreading out in every direction behind the face of the elephant. We see an almost x-ray view of the inside of the elephant where a baby elephant has been placed relaxing in the womb. The choice of dark gray for the background gives the impression that the subject is just levitating there in space, with the lack of gravity making it as as light as a feather.
