The famous Twilight Saga, by Stephanie Meyers, was translated into Japanese in 2005. The Japanese edition of the novel was split into 13 shorter volumes, and given alternative titles for each one.
The covers of the Japanese editions were stylized in a manga-inspired appearance, and within the pages there are also illustrations of select scenes drawn in the same style. This adaptation of Twilight makes significant changes to the original style and design in an effort to make it more familiar and appealing to its target demographic: young Japanese girls.
Translations for the alternative volume titles:
Vol. 1 - "The Boy Whom I Love is a Vampire"
Vol. 2 - "Blood Tastes Sadness"
Vol. 3 - "The Vampire Family in the Darkness"
