Infestissumam, Album Cover

4

Released on April 10th, 2013, Infestissumam is the second studio album by the rock band Ghost. The album consists of heavy metal, hard rock, and pop rock. The album mainly explores the relationship between the devil and humans, mentioning sexual guilt, superstition, and the weakening of, particularly Christian, imagery.

The cover was created by Zbigniew Bielak and Erik Danielsson, Bielak on illustration and Danielsson on layout and typography. Heavily inspired by church imagery, the cover design was meant to look like an antique woodcut.

On the cover, the imagery implies the birth of the antichrist in the center of the Vatican, with the name of the band placed at the top of the cover.
