Mr. Children “Shifuku no Oto” Album Cover

9

This album was released in 2004 and features cover art directed by Kashiwa Sato.

The songs on this album express appreciation for music and joy of being able to play again, as the vocalist Sakurai had  recovered from his disease.

"Shifuku" has two meanings in Japanese: bliss and private clothes. This album conveys a massage of delivering blessed melodies with an undecorated mind.

Kashiwa expresses this massage using colorful crayons, which suggests purity and a sense of youth in the music. The handwritings are not perfect and sometimes fades or bleeds, which  Mr. Children create melodies in a natural and imperfect mind.
