Mario Party 3

The popular video game Mario Party 3 published by Nintendo and developed by Hudson Soft, is one of the more popular games in the Mario Party series. The game was released in Japan on December 7, 2000, on the Nintendo 64.  The cover of the game was designed by the artist on Hudson Soft alongside promotional artist at Nintendo with no specific artist. Design choices of the cover specifically showcase new characters added to the Mario Party game series like the main antagonist of this game Waluigi and a new addition in Princess Daisy. All the characters also stand on top of a book to symbolize the stories theme being like a fairytale or story, showing off board spaces on the book as well showing off the new additions to the game. The cover also displays the characters on an orange background covered in stars in the Mario series. The text in the middle of the characters display a colorful and playful feeling while also having the three in the text designed in a checker pattern to represent the story mode of Mario Party 3 gimmick of a boardgame.
