Description:

This a promotional postcard for the band group R.E.M included in their Monster Album release, promoting their U.S Tour dates in the fall of 1995. It is printed on a paper in traditional postcard size. The original design of the cover art for the Monster album comes from a blurry, and grainy close up picture of a promotional yellow furry balloon face that was made by the Tilly Balloon Company. The design is kept simple with a single simple Arial font with an ink black color, featuring each of the tour dates and location. The image on the bottom left is the same image used throughout R.E.M's Monster album, featuring a floating head and body of a balloon animal.

The rest of the album matches in theme with the postcard, making it a cohesive album release, including the packaging and the rest of the inclusions inside the album. I chose this because I am interested in album design, and was intrigued to see how different album design was earlier in the day and how it differed based on the music genre.
