This was a poster created to advertise upcoming traveling circus shows. Posters like this one were cheap to create and were soon discarded after the advertised event took place. Composed primarily of text and images, headers are bold with attention-grabbing words to attract audiences. Given that these types of advertisements were both produced and disposed of in mass quantities, there are few that have survived today.
