This book was written by both R. Newton Maywall and Margaret W. Maywall and published in 1960 by G.P Putnam's Sons. 

This book serves as an introduction to astronomy. This is clearly represented in the cover's start gold and silver design. Much of the book is concerned with the identification of stars and constellations for which printed diagrams represent.
