W.E.B. Du Bois and students of Atlanta University, 1900

W.E.B Du Bois can be credited for being a pioneer in data visualization. His contributions served to highlight the progress of Black Americans after the Civil War by visually communicating the social and economic uplift by Black Americans while making a critique of “institutionalized racism” (David Zimmerman).
