These posters are advocating for the rights of disabled to children to education. The creators of the posters point out that millions of children with disabilities don't currently have access to education, and that continues to handicap them in their future endeavors.
Visually these posters rely heavily on the use of type. The poster to the right doesn't employ any pictures or illustrations, leaning only on words. The largest words draw the viewer in: “The Next Civil Rights Movement.” After that is the address of where to contact the Bureau of Education for the Handicapped for more information. The poster to the left employs a large image of a child looking through a fence, implying a separation between him and everyone else. The largest words on this poster prey on the public's disdain for the handicapped. Viewers are drawn in to see what could be the worst handicap, only to find that it is a lack of education for disabled children.
