Limited Edition Strawberry Shortcake Vinyl Record

The Strawberry Shortcake brand was initially created by American Greetings, which is a greeting card company. The brand became such a hit that it expanded far beyond cards into dolls, animated shows, and more. 

Although the actual designer of the vinyl is never revealed, it was part of the larger Strawberry Shortcake franchise, the vinyl artwork would likely have been created by the same artists behind the character designs, like Muriel Fahrion.  Muriel Fahrion is an illustrator and graphic designer who is best known for her role in creating the original Strawberry Shortcake characters. She was working for American Greetings when she designed the character in 1979. Initially, Strawberry Shortcake was conceived as a card design for a new line of greeting cards.

This is important and should be added to the archive because it is often a forgot piece. Many vinyl records go unrecognized with recent technologies. Adding to that, most young individuals in recent years don’t know who or what Strawberry Shortcake & Friends is or used to be.
