The origin of graphic design lies in visual communication, and Kazunari Hattori aimed to convey this idea through his work. There is no specific meaning behind the choice of these designs. He deliberately chose designs without meaning and focused on conveying how rather than what.
The first three images shows sports without using word instead illustrating each sport with simple drawn figures. He uses only two colors for each image, and while the designs seem simple, people are enjoyable to look at. The next three images follow the same format but use different shapes to represent various types of weather. These images do not shows a specific weather, but each picture convey a different emotional expression either positive or negative.
