Ikko Tanaka was a graphic designer born in 1930 in Japan. He was known for his simple art and strong geometric shapes and forms. In 1995, Tanaka designed a poster named "Sharaku 200th Anniversary,"

Tanaka used the painted face of a geisha, a well-known figure in Japanese history. He also used several colors, including gray as the background, black for the hair, eyebrows, eyes, and green to cover the mouth.
