This is a type specimen of the stop typeface, which was designed by Aldo Novarese, an Italian designer, under the Società Nebiolo Art Studio in 1971. Aldo Novarese trained at the Turin School of Artisan Printers and the Paravia Typography Institute. Later, he would join the Società Nebiolo Art Studio, eventually becoming the director in 1952.
The typeface references the shape of a stop sign to create a bold design. The type specimen uses experimental layouts and bright colors to emphasize its geometric design.
