The Public Theater, Noise Funk (Poster)

9

The creator of this poster is Paula Scher, in the 70s and 80s she was an Art Director at CBS Records and a Graphic Designer at Koppel & Scher. Now since 1991, she has been partnering up with the New York office of Pentagram. Her work is unconventional because of her use of typography, bold style, and conceptual solutions, which are shown within this poster. The bold type stands out with the blue and red a lot but also helps make the black-and-white guy in the poster stand out more than the text, even though the text is all over. This poster was a part of a Promotional poster series for the New York Shakespeare Festival/Public Theater in 1995.
