La Semana Año III N° 105, Cover of a Uruguayan weekly magazine

La Semana was a popular weekly magazine from Uruguay, circulating specifically in its capital, Montevideo. The periodical covered art, current affairs, literature, and more, using a wide range of typefaces and interesting illustrations throughout that reference other visual styles of the time like Art Nouveau and magazines from Germany.

This issue features a young woman on the cover pulling on a red knit hat which assumingly shows her support of the Colorado political party of Uruguay, or the Red Party.
