This 2015 EP cover for “Kudada Nekuva Munhu Mutema” (meaning “Proud to be African” in Shona) showcases Chimurenga Renaissance, a musical project blending traditional African sounds with modern electronic and hip-hop elements. Designed by Zimbabwean designer Saki Mafundikwa, founder of ZIVA (Zimbabwe Institute of VIgital Arts), the cover features a stylized profile with geometric patterns and traditional African design elements, reflecting the album’s fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary expression. The visual aesthetic of the album connects directly to Mafundikwa's broader mission of African cultural reclamation through design.

The EP represents a cross-cultural collaboration, bringing together artists from Zimbabwe and the US. Produced by Tendai Baba Maraire and featuring traditional mbira players Jacob Mafuleni and Tonderai Ndava of Zimbabwe’s Mbira DzeMuninga, the project bridges continents through music. Recorded at Black Space and mastered at Breakpoint Mastering by Adam Straney, the seven-track EP was released by Brick Lane Records in February 2015.
