This work demonstrates how design for non-visual are represented in visual mediums. This album uses simplicity to reference different motifs throughout this Beatles album. The play of ideas is shown through the different meaning of the apple and its placement on the vinyl. It’s placed in the center, representing the apple ‘core’ of the record, as well as the album’s meanings in the songs within. This use of design is an integral example of representing auditory works of art through visual means because of its provocative and contemplative composition during its initial release in 1968.
