Great Sky: Cyber Aviation Museum

2

"Great Sky has opened the Cyber Aviation Museum to mark a new milestone in our nation’s aviation history. Although our country has yet to establish a dedicated aviation museum, we have gathered aviation stamps, photographs, and related materials over the past 40 years to share this rich heritage online with the public.

Since humanity first settled on Earth, we invented the wheel to conquer the land, and later the ship to master the sea. The skies, however, remained beyond our reach until the early 20th century, when the Wright brothers achieved the first successful powered flight. In just a century since that historic moment, aviation has advanced at a breathtaking pace. Now, in the 21st century’s highly connected information age, aviation stands poised to serve not only as an ultra-high-speed mode of transportation, but also as a key to exploring the boundless universe.

The Cyber Aviation Museum exists to reflect on the history of flight, trace the development of aircraft, and inspire new visions for the future of aviation. The year 2003 marks the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers’ pioneering flight. In commemoration of this milestone, we are proud to open this museum to the world." - October 2000 by Lee Taewon (translated)
