Julie Finger grew up helping out at the Mumbai printing company her father owned. She operated the presses and hot lead typesetter, and loved working with type. She would eventually move to the States with her family and attend Art Center School of Design, but she had already produced quite a few printed pieces, including these (probably mid-1950s). The newspaper article is included to provide context (though it should be noted that her mother, Mrs. Eliezer, was not “benign”).
