Illustrated Record Sleeve for Nipponophone Records

This illustrated record sleeve produced by Nipponphone Co. Ltd., also known today as Nippon Columbia Co. Ltd., was designed to advertise the products of the company to a presumably international consumer base. The illustration consists of the name of the company flowing out of a record player, with a Buddha figure turning to listen to the produced sound. The illustration is uniquely designed around the hole of the record in the center of the image, providing an unusual yet visually pleasing composition.
